Just some rambling today..
We got a lot accomplished today as far as the house goes. Lots of organizing, rearranging and general spring cleaning. I always tell the kids that when your atmosphere is clean and clear then so is your mind.
I haven't been able to get outside at night here lately because the mosquito's will carry you away. They've been pesky little creatures. So no hot fire, no moon because of course it's a new moon and no relaxation time for Mom outdoors. I can't wait until the colder weather moves in!
Laundry, Laundry, Laundry... I have several baskets in my room that are folded up but I just can't muster up the energy to put them away. That's a goal of mine for this week. I've got to get everything done because our Fall Festival is this upcoming weekend. So much to do so little time.
Sending out love and light to my girlfriend Cassie who is sick with bronchitis. She's a derby girl and due to her illness she can't play in this weekends upcoming events. Blessings to you Cass! :)
Now my mind is racing with things to get done for the weekend so I need to get off this computer and start to go over my list of food, decorations, games etc... Everyone have a wonderful evening..
Sending,
Love, Light and Blessings Galore to you all...

Break Time!
I'm off duty! I have to say I have some wonderful friends who have taken it upon themselves to kidnap my kids so to speak and take them out to see some local haunted attractions along with a movie and burger. Being a mom is a a full time job and sometimes we need a time-out!
This week has been a whirl wind for me. We've been getting ready for our fall festival, decorating the house, planning the meals etc. I've been busy with house clean-up, you know the usual.. laundry, sweeping, organizing and scrubbing. I fired my cleaning fairy lol, for some reason she just hasn't been showing up for work. Next weekend will be all about the kids.
Well time for the hubby to pull up in the driveway with take-out and I sure am hungry. So with all that being said.....
Sending,
Love, Light and Blessings Galore your way...

Venting!
I don't understand why people, namely family like to stir drama! Geeshhh! Enough is enough. It never fails when all is going good and life is going great somehow you get knocked back down. The sad part is, I allowed them to do so. It's funny how my name gets thrown into every soap opera situation. ENOUGH!! I stay to myself, take care of my family and home and it still happens. Remove my name from your lips people and just forget I exist. I'm trying to be strong but I honestly would rather be slapped because that pain goes away but words stick with you. I've allowed words to put me a deep dark state of mind. Under my eyes are darkened from all the tears and wiping them away. I'm so tender hearted but I think it's time for me to buck up and put my feet down and firmly.
Ok enough of my venting... I had to get it off my chest!

Good Saturday Morning World
The best part of waking up is _____ in your cup! You fill in the blank with your favorite morning beverage. My happens to be a fresh cup of joe with a 1/2 tsp of sugar and some french vanilla creamer in my favorite coffee mug. Mmmm Mmmm Good! What's your favorite pick me up beverage of the morning?
It's a beautiful cool crisp morning here in Texas. We were outside last night in 53 degree weather in shorts and t-shirts while sitting around the fire and loving it. Of course I think they just enjoyed my rendition of Me and Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin. I so rocked it! At least I thought I did.
The only thing missing was my hard working husband who is on nights this week. Gotta love the shift work. It pays the bills so I'm not going to complain to much. Just when I don't think he listens well he proves me wrong every time. Yesterday while my niece and I were clipping coupons he overheard me say I needed a binder and inserts to put my coupons in. I was completely giddy like a school girl when I walked into the kitchen this morning and sitting in front of my computer was a nice leather binder along with two packages of baseball card inserts. He earned some brownie points indeed so I think I'll pay him back by cooking him a nice hot meal before work tonight. Food always makes him happy! :) I really do appreciate all that he does for me and our family.
Well cup number two is down so I think its time to open all the doors and windows and allow some of this nice weather to come in.
Have a great day!
Sending you,
Love, Light and Blessings Galore!

The end to a productive day..
My niece Cassie and I had a long but productive day today. We spent half the day printing out coupons, cutting them out and getting ready for our weekly sales. Since I'm fairly new to the couponing world I have learned quiet a bit. I'm all for saving a dollar especially having one income coming in and with today's economy.
Well, time for me to grab a glass of my favorite cold beverage and go outside and enjoy the rest of my evening with family and friends. The firewood is stacked up and I'm so ready for a nice glowing fire.
Everyone have a great evening!
Sending Love, Light and Blessings Galore your way,
Sandy Jean :)
Mums the word..
I must say I've never attempted to grow Mums but I'm always up for a new challenge. The kids and I picked out our own individual colors. Hannah-Purple, Ron-Yellow and Me-Red. We purchased them from a local nursery in our area and they were so excited to have another plant to call their own so I had to share with you all.

My artsy-fartsy swivel outdoor candle ambiance holder thinga-ma-jig!
So I was outside the other day straightening up my small patio area getting those pesky little acorns swept off when another one of my artsy-fartsy ideas hit me. Then my wheels started turning and my husband looked at me like "Ut-Oh, what now?" I smiled that grimace little smile and said, "Dear, I have a design in my head for an outdoor swivel candle holder that would attach to my old glass circle table top. I have to add that old table has been around forever, it's rusty and it wobbles a tad-bit but I do enjoy it and it really serves its purpose. I have tried on several occasion to junk it and it has always managed to stay around. It's just destined to stay!
Now you have to understand something about me. I just love nature! I love being outside whether it's hot or cold, muggy or dry. Also might I add I love sitting outside under a tin roof during a rain storm. It's so relaxing. I also enjoy a good hot fire and what a better way to get a little of both. Living in an area where burn bans are frequent and with me not being able to have an actual fire, well my swivel outdoor candle ambiance holder thinga-ma-jig will have to suffice.
What was our next step you ask? Well Home Depot of course. Although I wanted to build it out of metal poles it just wasn't going to happen. It would have been way to heavy for me to move by myself. What did we build it out of? Well 1" pvc pipe. My sweet, darling, loving, supportive husband came home and immediately started putting it all together for lil ole me. Smiling! :) Now all that is left is making the holders for the mason jars which my wonderful, multi-talented, adorable husband is doing as I finish up this blog entry. I'm excited but even more excited to show it off. Yay!

So this is me...
So this is little ole me. A spit fire 6 ft tall red headed leo with a touch of class, sarcasm and southern charm. I was raised in a small town in Southeast Texas where I was the baby of three girls. I remember my dad and mom working hard all their lives to provide and support us girls. I can't say enough how much I appreciate their love, trust and support.
My life's plans didn't quiet turn out the way I planned would I wouldn't trade one minute for the joy and love that I get from my family. We may not have it all together but together we have it all! I am truly blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom but even more blessed to have them in my life. They teach me daily and encourage me to be the best that I can be.
I am by far a girlie girl. I'm a simple, tom-boyish kinda gal who loves to dig in the dirt. Yes, I also know how to be a lady, "wink." My peace of mind comes from planting flowers, meditation, sitting next to a hot fire and just simple moon gazing. Sounds quirky perhaps but that's where I get my "Me Time." I also love love love making my herbal tinctures, oils, incense and soon to be candle making.
I choose to write this blog as a release. Yes it will be about me and my family but it will also be about me finding me. Me finding my path. Your thirty-seven years old you haven't found your path you ask? I believe daily we all are searching for our paths in life. It never stops until the day you draw your final breath. Regardless of where my path may lead I hope you all enjoy my journey.
Sending love, light and blessings galore your way!
